Burn baby.

I don't know why I enjoy it when people I adore seem a little possessive over me. I would freak out if my boyfriend were psycho jealous. I'm too much of a flirt to deal with that. But when I don't enjoy the undesireable attention I'm getting, and when it's just a wee bit of jealousy to let me know that they care whether or not I belong to them, it makes me feel good.

It would seem you know why, after all. Its that place that you occupy in their consciousness. Its the human need to be desired. The human desire to be needed.

When someone shows that level of interest in you, its an affirmation. A good one, since it inspires such strong feelings in others. Its sharper and more visible, so it attracts more attention.

It is a guilty pleasure for most people, though. The idea of instilling jealousy in others, while flattering, has such a negative connotation since of the hurt it inflicts on others. It feels nice, but you know you shouldn't be enjoying it.

Then there's those that are only interested in the enjoyment, and not the feelings of others.....
